Atqi Foundation has been established in 2016. The project Meetings of cultures has been carried out since 2017. It aims at building intercultural and intergenerational dialogue. The project involves collaboration of local communities from Poland, Morocco, Nepal and Zanzibar. The Honorary patronage over the project has been assumed by the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
Within the 5th edition of the project Meetings of cultures. Migrants: Me - You- Us'(2021-2022), financed by Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway from the EOG Funds within the framework of the Active Citizens Fund – Regional Programme, we have worked for the benefit of migrants and their integration with local communities.
The previous editions of the project were co-funded, inter alia, by the Embassy of Poland in Morocco, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland and by the local government of Greater Poland Voivodship. The scope of our activities was presented in academic publication 'Thoughts – Passions – Actions. 100 years of University Ethnology at Poznań University.
The aim of ATQI Foundation is to work for the benefit of local communities, intercultural and intergenerational dialogue and integration of migrants with local communities. Our mission is realized through cross-sectoral and inter-institutional collaboration.
2021-2022 Meetings of cultures. Migrants: Me - You- Us financed by Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway from the EOG Funds within the framework of the Active Citizens Fund – Regional Programme.
2020 Meetings of cultures. Chimney sweeps in Zbrudzewo financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland within the framework of EtnoPolska 2020 programme launched by National Center for Culture.
2019 Meetings of cultures. Ethnology for children on the centennial of Ethnology at Poznań University financed by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Kingdom of Morocco and by Greater Poland Voivodeship Office
2018 Meetings of cultures. Children and women in intercultural dialogue co-financed by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Kingdom of Morocco
2017 Meetings of cultures. Ludwik Zamenhof - on the 100th anniversary of his death financed by Greater Poland Voivodeship Office.

2018 - 2019 Setting up a school library and an art studio for children in Atqi Valley (High Atlas Mountains, Morocco); providing Ait Tidili community (High Atlas Mountains, Morocco) with solar ovens (as a part of an ecological project).

Language workshops, exhibitions, intercultural exchange of letters, competitions organized in local communities in Poland, Morocco, Nepal and Zanzibar.
Anna Płygawko – founder and president of the foundation. She has graduated from Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznań, Poland); in 2000-2003 she attended seminars in cultural anthropology at Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris. Laureat of the „Paris Jeunes Aventures” competition organised under the auspices of mer of Paris (2001); member of the jury during its second edition.
She coordinates activities and projects of the foundation. She has over 20 years of professional experience in carrying out different projects, including 10 years of work as coordinator of CSR projects in big corporation. Due to long - term experience as fieldwork researcher – an anthropological research conducted in 1995-2019 in High Atlas Mountains in Morocco – she has also great expertise in the field of qualitative research.
